- Tomato sauce: 1 tbsp

How to Make the Sweet and Sour Mushrooms
Once you have all your ingredients ready, here is what you will need to do to make these sweet and sour mushrooms.
Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic and saute them until the raw aroma of the garlic disappears.
Add the green chilies next and saute.
Next, add in the button mushrooms and saute for 1-2 minutes.
Add the onions and bell peppers next and mix well. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
Add the seasonings next and mix well.
Next, add in the tomato sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix well.
Simmer the mixture for 3-4 minutes.

I used only button mushrooms for this recipe but if you want, you can also add some other veggies into the mix. Broccoli, carrots, bell peppers, zucchini, baby corn are all good choices.
