How to Make the Air Fried Spicy Chicken Kebabs
Once you have all the elements and tools to make the dish ready, here’s the process you’ll need to follow to make it.
Pre-heat the air fryer at 400°F for 5 minutes.
In a mixing bowl, add the chicken and the veggies along with the marination ingredients and mix well.
Let the mixture marinate overnight or at least for 4 hours. The longer the marination, the better the marination is absorbed by the chicken, making it juicier.
Once they are well marinated, take a skewer and insert the chicken and veggies into it. You can make as many skewers as you want depending on the size of the air fryer basket.
Spray the air fryer basket with oil. (Optional)
Transfer the marinated chicken and veggies to the air fryer basket and cook them at 350°F for 10-12 minutes or until done.
You can flip them once in between and brush some oil so that they are cooked well.
For the green chutney, blend everything together in a blender. Adjust salt and lemon juice if required.
For the onion salad, mix everything together.
Serve Chicken Kebabs hot with green chutney and onion salad.

Tips & Tricks to Make the Air Fried Spicy Chicken Kebabs
While making these kebabs and the other elements of the dish is pretty much a straightforward process, having these little tips and tricks handy can really help make a difference.
- To make the kebab skewers more flavorful and juicy, consider marinating them a day before and refrigerating them until you are ready to air fry them.
- Make sure you use skewers that are compatible with your air fryer. If you don’t want to use skewers, you can totally skip them too, and just air fry everything as is.
- Chopping all the veggies such that they are roughly the same size is highly recommended. This will ensure that they are all cooked evenly.
- It is advisable to make these kebabs in batches. Overcrowding the air fryer can cause the kebabs and veggies to remain undercooked.
- Want to make the kebabs spicy? Add some chopped green chillies or red pepper flakes into the marinade.
- Want a slightly sweeter taste and glaze to your kebabs? Brush some maple syrup or honey over them right after you get them out of the air fryer.
- To give them a nice Indian twist and a bit of tanginess, you can also squeeze some lemon juice on the top right before you serve.
