How to Make the Honey Glazed Chicken Breast
Once you have all your ingredients ready, here is what you will need to do to make the honey glazed chicken breasts.
Place the chicken breasts on a wooden board and make slits into them diagonal and then again from the opposite side.
Sprinkle salt and pepper on the chicken breast and massage them with the seasoning. Make sure the seasonings enter the slits of the chicken breast. Keep them aside once done.
Now take the flour on a flat plate and coat the chicken breasts properly with the flour.
Heat 2 tablespoon butter in a non-stick pan. Add the chicken breast to the pan and cook both sides for 1-1.30 minutes on each side. The sides will start to turn golden brown in color.
To the same pan, add another 2 tablespoon of butter and add in the garlic. You can move the chicken breasts to the side of the pan while cooking the garlic in the center.
Next, add honey and mix.
Add in the soy sauce and vinegar next and mix well. The sauce will start simmering. Cover the chicken breast with the sauce and keep cooking for another 2-3 minutes over a low flame.
Transfer the chicken breasts to a plate and pour the sauce from the pan over it.
Garnish with chopped parsley.

Tips & Tricks to Make the Honey Glazed Chicken Breast
Ready to give this recipe a shot? Here are some tips and tricks you might want to take note of.
- I chose to pan fried chicken, but if you want you could choose to bake the chicken instead. Make sure you use a well greased baking dish or ideally, line it with some parchment paper to keep the chicken from sticking to the pan.
- You could also try using another cut of chicken if you want to. Chicken thighs and chicken drumsticks are good choices
- To make a chicken more flavourful, combine all the other ingredients except the flour in a Ziploc bag, add the chicken in and refrigerate this overnight.
- To add a kick of heat to the dish, you can also throw in some red pepper flakes or chop up some Thai bird eye chillies and add them into the sauce.
- Alternatively, you could just use some hot honey to bring a bit of spiciness to the dish.
- Don’t forget to garnish the honey glazed chicken breasts with some sesame seeds and chopped chives or any other fresh herbs of your choice.
